Fairtrade letter

Dear Juancha,

I’m writing to you because I recently saw in the supermarket a beneficial product called "Fairtrade", this consist in a foundation which searches for independent workers that make a product and the foundation helps them to make their products sell in the UK, this products are more expensive, but they have a guaranteed quality by having the logo. The most of the money that they earn goes to the producers, but a percent is going to the Fairtrade to finance the foundation.

After knowing this, the next time I go to the supermarket and I see a chocolate with the Fairtrade logo I will think about the people with economic problems that make effort to sell the products to maintain their families. The chocolate will be very expensive compared to the normal chocolate, but it is a good benefit to the ones who need it.

I had no idea of this foundation after I saw this logo, but then I search for more information and I got concerned about the farmers that need economical help that we can give, in what Fairtrade has its work.

That is why I’m waiting to you, to take care about this theme, so you help the farmers.

Take care and good health.

BEST REGARDS

Source 1: Global warming and climate change is looked at in this section of the global issues web site. Introduced are some of the effects of climate change. In addition, this section attempts to provide insights into what governments, companies, international institutions, and other organizations are attempting to do about this issue, as well as the challenges they face. Some of the major conferences in recent years are also discussed.
The climate is changing. The earth is warming up, and there is now overwhelming scientific consensus that it is happening, and human-induced. With global warming on the increase and species and their habitats on the decrease, chances for ecosystems to adapt naturally are diminishing.
Many are agreed that climate change may be one of the greatest threats facing the planet. Recent years show increasing temperatures in various regions, and/or increasing extremities in weather patterns.

Source 2: The planet is warming, from North Pole to South Pole, and everywhere in between. Globally, the mercury is already up more than 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.8 degree Celsius), and even more in sensitive polar regions. And the effects of rising temperatures aren’t waiting for some far-flung future. They’re happening right now. Signs are appearing all over, and some of them are surprising. The heat is not only melting glaciers and sea ice, it’s also shifting precipitation patterns and setting animals on the move.
Some impacts from increasing temperatures are already happening.
  • Ice is melting worldwide, especially at the Earth’s poles. This includes mountain glaciers, ice sheets covering West Antarctica and Greenland, and Arctic sea ice.
  • Researcher Bill Fraser has tracked the decline of the Adélie penguins on Antarctica, where their numbers have fallen from 32,000 breeding pairs to 11,000 in 30 years.
  • Sea level rise became faster over the last century.
  • Some butterflies, foxes, and alpine plants have moved farther north or to higher, cooler areas.
  • Precipitation (rain and snowfall) has increased across the globe, on average.
  • Spruce bark beetles have boomed in Alaska thanks to 20 years of warm summers. The insects have chewed up 4 million acres of spruce trees.

Global warming is already having significant and costly effects on our climate, our health, and our environment.
Global warming has serious worldwide implications, though the type and magnitude of local effects varies considerably by region. This page highlights the consequences of global warming on a broad level.
Unless we take immediate action to reduce global warming emissions, these impacts will continue to intensify, grow ever more costly and damaging, and increasingly affect the entire planet — including you, your community, and your family.

“Times change, we need to change as well” Francois Pieenar always used this phrase to motivate his team, when they were on a problem on the field. This movie is about rugby, in my opinion the best sport all around the world, because you learn how to play in a team, to be perseverant, and how to be friendly and unite with all your team mates. So this is the main idea of the movie, to unite the South African people was divided in 2 parts: the white and the black people. The country wasn’t united for the fault of the racism, this is called apartheid.

After 27 years of Mandela in the jail, he was released, the reason he went to jail was because he was in a different political party, in that times that was a crime, they had different ideas of the people when he was released, he postulate to become the South Africa president.

When Nelson Mandela become the president of the South African but, the people doesn’t want him at the lead of the country because they think that a black man who has been 27 years in jail is not appropriated for the South African country. What people don’t know was that Mandela wants a united South Africa, he don’t care much about the economy, because the first thing you need to be a stable country is the unity of the South Africans, You cannot solve the economic problems.

So Mandela used the rugby as an example for the South Africans to make the country united.

The people watch the rugby, but the south African team wasn’t good enough for the people so they don’t take care of this sport, so Mandela start a campaign to make the poorest people know this sport, this campaign consist that the south Africa team  players goes to the poor neighbors and there  teach the boys the basic rugby rules, this gives courage to the players of the team, this was hallowed for the boys and for all the country, including black and white people, watch this great team and finally win the world cup.

In conclusion, this movie shows how to be very friendly with your comrades and with all the people you know. This movie teaches you how you can change a country with one thing only you need to have conviction and a thing that all the people loves like in this movie, the Rugby, and not to be gloomy with people who are different with you.

I like this movie and I recommend it to all the people over 13 years, because it have very good actors and scenes, you can see very realist rugby match and you can feel what the springboks fell when they play rugby, so if you can see it, do  it to know about rugby.
